Scouting only happens because of volunteers like you – and you don’t need to have been a Scout to get involved.
We offer flexible volunteering opportunities, so you can help in a way that works for you. You choose the time you can give – whether it’s behind the scenes or helping directly with young people, every role makes a difference.

Volunteering with Scouts is incredibly rewarding – and it’s great fun too!
You’ll help young people gain skills for life, while learning some brilliant skills yourself – like leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving – all transferable to the workplace.
We provide full support and award-winning training, so you’ll feel confident and ready, whatever your role.
Volunteers join us from all backgrounds and walks of life – whether you’re 18 or 80, everyone has something to offer. You’ll become part of a friendly, supportive team, make new friends, and help create a positive future for young people in your community.
No Experience? No Problem!
You don’t need to have been a Scout before, and you don’t need any special skills – just a desire to help young people thrive.
We’ll match you to a role that suits you, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
